Best friends recruited for pilot training at the only all female airbase in American history are hand selected by famed aviatrix Jackie Cochran to discover why the B-26 Marauder kills pilots before an air assault on Monte Cassino must be cancelled and the plane pulled from service. Despite the overwhelming success of their mission, the Women's Air Service Pilots are unceremoniously disbanded to make way for male civilian pilots hoping to avoid the draft.
Lucky 13 is the inaugural winner of the Sloan Foundation grant for screenwriters in partnership with the Athena Film Festival 2019.

Feature
Roxane Losey was one of the top female jockeys in America before a life threatening injury sidelined her career. Now a zookeeper at the Los Angeles County Zoo, Roxane reluctantly agrees to a leave of absence to train a mounted anti-poaching unit in the Eastern Cape where she encounters a ranger with a gruesome secret, an embittered veterinarian trying to sideline the project, and a female black rhino fighting desperately to survive a botched poaching. Based on the remarkable true story about African American motorcycle legend Bessie Stringfield, who strikes out on her own at 19 with nothing but a map, her motorcycle and the burning desire to find her own place in the world. Her journey through the American South is both exhilarating and dangerous, forcing Bessie to overcome both race and gender discrimination, heartache and triumph to eventually become the only female motorcycle dispatch rider in World War Two and the first African American inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
